Sm69th Moot Promo

It's over... sniff...

29/04/2010

Well that's it. Another Moot over and done with. It was a great success and the MOC League would like to thank all of you who attended and made it what it was. It wouldn't have been the same without you.

The 69th NZ Rover Moot, Smooth Moot, will be held over Easter next year and run by the Central North Island Rover Crews. We'll put a link to the new website up here just as soon as they get one.
Good Friday is the 22nd of April so start planning now! You don't want to miss this fantastic event.

There was quite a bit of lost property left when we packed up the Moot site, so if you couldn't find your lucky undies when you got home, there's every chance that we might have them. Email us at lostproperty@heromoot.com and we'll go rummaging through the pile to see if we can find whatever it is you are missing.

We also have a few leftover items of merchandise that you can still purchase if you want.

We have:
    Thermal Moot Mugs
    Moot Badges
    Moot Photos

2 weeks

18/03/2010

With exactly two weeks to go until Hero Moot, things are coming along nicely.
This is just a quick update to announce some winners, to get a bit information out to you guys and maybe get a bit back off you.

First off, we have drawn the five $20 barcards for the people who payed for Moot in full before the due date of the 1st of March.
The winners (in no particular order) are:
        James Anderson
        Neale Clarke
        Eva Scheiwe
        Darlene Mathieson
        Corey Shelton
Congratulations! And thanks to all you super people who did pay in full on time.

We'd also like you all to know that due to a number of people pulling out of Hero Moot, Roskill are no longer eligible for the $100 prize for having more than 75% of their crew attend Hero Moot. We have adjusted the numbers accordingly and re-drawn this prize.
The new winners are the Stewart Rover Crew. Congratulations go out to them for having none of their crew pull out and staying above the 75% threshold.

For anyone who will be arriving in Christchurch before Moot site opens at 7:00pm, the place to be is the Aoraki Regional Rover Den. There will be refreshments available so bring some cash and we will have vans to ferry you to Moot site once it opens

Also, if you are bringing your Mascot to Moot, we want to know. Send us through your Mascots name and crew along with some contact details (email, snail mail, phone etc...) and we'll have a Moot tag made for them. That  way if  they decide to go on a post Moot tour, they'll have a reminder of just how much you miss them and might get in touch more often. You can send those details through to Carina; admin@heromoot.com.

Newsletter #4

02/03/2010

Great news everybody, Newsletter 4 is out now. You can also get a gear list while you're at it.
There's less than a month to go until Hero Moot. I'm excited, I hope you are too. Anybody coming to Hero Moot should have paid in full by now, and anyone who has will have a Super Pass on the way. We're just waiting for the last few payments to clear before we draw the winners of the individual barcard draw, so check back here regularly to find out if you are a winner.

Super Passes

10/02/2010

Hey all you Super people. The MOC League is going to try something new this year and we're introducing the "Super Pass".  "What the dickens is a Super Pass?" I hear you ask... A Super Pass lets you breeze through registration at super speeds. And I bet your next question is "Just how do I get my hands on one of these Super passes?" . That's  easy. All you have to do is pay your Moot fee and all tour and merchandise costs in full by the  1st of March and you'll auto-magically get one. Bring it along to Moot and you'll get to use the fast track and won't have to wait in line.
Paying in full on time has some more benefits as well. Pay up, and you won't get lumped with the evil $25 late fee and you'll also be entered into the draw to win one of five $20 bar cards.
That's three great reasons to pay up on time.

Applications have closed

01/02/2010

Time has run out. Applications for Hero Moot have officially closed. We will still be accepting paper applications for a few more days to make sure we get any that are already in the post and if you hurry up and get one posted in the next couple of days, we probably won't  know that you posted it late. There is still hope for you stragglers yet (but only a little bit).

Newsletter #3

18/01/2010

Hi everybody, Newsletter 3 is available for download now.
Also, this is a reminder that applications close on the 31st of January. That's the end of this month. That's only a bit over 2 weeks away. If you haven't applied yet, get a wiggle on!

Australian Contingent

22/12/2009

Congratulations Australians! You can now apply for Hero Moot.
Jessica Wanganeen has been appointed contingent leader and you can email her at australia@heromoot.com to find out more.
Also a quick reminder to everyone that applications close on the 31st of January so, if you haven't already applied, you had better make like The Flash and do it quick.

Flight times & glass policy

03/12/2009

In the first issue of the Hero Moot newsletter, we set out some restrictions around travel times. Due to the change of Moot site, these are now no longer required. You can fly into Christchurch any time you want. We would still like to ask that you arrange departures for after 12pm on Monday so that you get to see the full closing ceremony. We wouldn't want you to miss any of our fantastic Moot.
Our new moot site also has a 'no glass' policy. We've sourced a fantastic glass free Moot mug (which you can see here) but for those of you buying wine or shot glasses, we will hold these for you until you depart Moot site.

Grant applications

03/12/2009

The MOC league would like to let you know that we have a letter available for those crews who will be applying for grants to attend Hero Moot 2010. Email Sonia at finance@heromoot.com for more details.

Moot fee

31/10/2009

The fee for Hero Moot 2010 has been set at NZ$340.00. A bit of an increase on previous Moots, but a small price to pay for what promises to be an awesome event.
While you're online, check out the ultimate showdown for a bit of inspiration.

Applications open!

27/10/2009

After a long delay the MOC League is pleased to announce that applications for Hero Moot 2010 are finally open. To go along with this, the website has had  a pretty big update.
We have had to find a new site for Hero Moot, so you'll find an update about this on the Where is Moot? page. You'll find information about what merchandise you can order on the merchandise page. The tours have also been finalised and you find out more here.
Newsletter 2 is available to be downloaded here.
